Hi! I'm Pam McEwen.

I am the Founder and CEO of The Izora Elaine Dean Educational Center (IED). IED offers an array of academic services to learners of all ages, to educators, and to the community. Our services include the following: private school, homeschool services and resources, tutoring, GED prep, ACT/SAT prep, subscription boxes, educational workshops, and courses.

My love for people and of education inspired me to open the doors to IED on June 1, 2019. The vision of IED is to help learners and their families to increase their knowledge of educational standards, policies, and procedures so that they can maximize their educational experiences and effectively advocate for their education. Our vision is to “spark a mind & change a life”.

For approximately 20 years, I have worked in the field of education. I have worked as a Substitute Teacher, a Paraeducator, a Classroom Teacher, an Instructional Coach with a focus on Structure and Behavior, and as a MTSS Facilitator. I also worked as an Adjunct Instructor for Southwestern College. I have had the opportunity to teach thousands of learners over the past 20 years.

I hold a Bachelor in Business Administration, a Master of Business Administration, and a Masters in the Art of Teaching Early Childhood Unified. Throughout my career, I have worked with learners of all ages and at all grade levels. I am extremely passionate about empowering the learners that I serve and their families because I know the value of education.
